Being a Band devotee, I had to purchase the DVD Audio version of The Last Waltz. For those who own the 4 disc bootleg, the 4 disc box set and the DVD of the movie you might ask yourself "Is it worth it?" Yes it is, even if you all of the aforementioned material. Remember: you'll need a DVD player for this.

Mar 02,  · This box set is the last recording of The Band, and it is truly a treasure. To hear the talent of masters such as Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson is such a great experience. Purchase the video of The Last Waltz as well for a truly wonderful musical treat and interviews by Martin Scorsese/5().

May 14,  · Actually, The Last Waltz DVD audio is a track monster on playback, with the instruments given an up-close-and-personal presence that was scarcely hinted at on the old double CD or the original triple album, and can't be replicated on the simple bit stereo playback of the CD box.

The Last Waltz Special Edition is a wonderland of special features, including previously unseen jam footage, audio commentary with Scorsese and Robertson, and a new featurette, "Revisiting The Last Waltz." It’s one of the year's best DVDs, and we're especially glad MGM pulled this one out of the time capsule and dusted it off/5.

Aug 11,  · “The Last Waltz” is, of course, a feature-length documentary of the final concert of the legendary s and 70s rock group The Band. This concert was held at Bill Graham’s Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day, This is much more than a concert video, however/5(2K).
