Apr 28,  · For decades I have been looking for Kingston Trio albums in the exact form and order that I remember as a teenager. Finally, someone put them out. The Trio sounds better than ever, and this CD includes what I consider to be the best Kingston Trio album ever recorded: "Goin' Places." For Trio fans, it's the Holy Grail/5(17).

Jul 23,  · "Blow the Candle Out" was Bob Shane's major featured number, a quietly elegant performance with a gorgeous melody and some of the most restrained playing in the history of the original trio. The ensemble singing on "Come All Ye Fair and Tender Ladies" is among their best collective vocal performances, made all the more beautiful by Wheat's 5/5(1).
